Delete your MingleMoon or Friends account
One account covers both MingleMoon and Friends; deleting it removes you from both.
Last updated October 2, 2026.
Rather take a break? In the app, go to Me, then Take a break. Your
profile is hidden and nothing is deleted.
In the app (fastest)
- Open MingleMoon or Friends.
- Go to the Me tab and tap Delete my account.
- Tap Delete forever. Google may ask you to pick your account again.
Without the app
Email happydead313@gmail.com
from the Google account you signed in with, subject "Delete my account". It will be deleted within 30 days.
What is deleted
Your profiles in both apps (including your dating photos, videos and voice intro), your likes and "say
hi" requests (sent and received), every message you sent, hangouts you host (you're removed from others),
your Lounge posts and pictures, your Discussions replies and topic suggestions, gifts you received, your
gift wall and gift choices, your hearts and any VIP spot, your Shop items (borders, name colors, pets and
presents), your block list, your reports, your age record (with
the date you last changed your MingleMoon group, if you did), and your sign-in. Your cloaks: the people you cloaked yourself from, and the email and name codes you added.
The code of the first name on your profile is deleted too. If someone cloaked themselves from you, they keep
that; it names only your account's random id, not your name. The few things below are the only
exceptions.
On the phone you delete from, the app also clears what it kept only there: the people you passed (except
passes made in older versions of the app), the people you've seen, the email addresses and first names you
typed to cloak yourself, and your gender in more words.
What we keep, and for how long
- Lounge posts under a safety review (hidden after reports, an open "Looks under 18"
or "This is me" report, or a legal hold) are kept until they are reviewed. Evidence on legal hold is
kept 1 year after it is reported to NCMEC (longer only if NCMEC or the police ask). Private review copies
of reported pictures are kept up to 90 days. When a picture is removed we keep a one-way fingerprint of
it (not the picture), so the same file can't be posted again.
- Your reports on other people's Lounge posts are removed within about 30 days (serious
ones when the review is closed). Reports other people made about you belong to them and stay, so they
can be reviewed; a report about a Lounge post keeps a copy of that post's text and who wrote it, and a
report about a Discussions topic or reply keeps a copy of its words and who wrote them.
- Topics you started in Discussions stay for the others, without your name ("Started by a
former member").
- Your Lounge counters (how many posts, replies, topic suggestions and reports you made
today, and when you joined) are kept up to 30 days after your last Lounge post, reply, topic suggestion,
report or join.
- A Lounge ban (if you were banned from the Lounge): its end date and reason code, and
the same under a one-way code made from your Google account's ID (not your email), are kept until the ban
ends (for good, if it was for politics), so deleting the account and signing up again doesn't end it.
- Hearts (MingleMoon, if you ever bought any): order records (order number,
product, hearts, time, country, refund status and a random account number) are kept 7 years for refunds,
chargebacks and tax, with a short closing record (the hearts you had, bought and spent when the account
closed). A closed wallet holding only a zero-or-below balance and VIP cooldown dates is kept up to 180
days after deletion (longer if you bought hearts in the last 180 days). If your balance was below zero
because a purchase was refunded, the amount owed is kept for up to 1 year under a one-way code made
from your Google account's ID (not your email), so it comes back if the same Google account signs up
again.
- Welcome hearts: a one-way code made from your Google account's ID (not your email)
and the date the 50 welcome hearts were given is kept, so the same Google account doesn't get them
twice.
- Gifts you sent stay with the people you sent them to, shown as from "a deleted
account", without your name or note. Gifts you received, your gift wall and your gift choices are
deleted. Daily gift counters are deleted within 3 days. Safety notices sent to you are deleted.
- Photo contests (MingleMoon): your entries, their photo copies and your votes are deleted.
If you won a prize, the record of it (the contest, month, place and hearts) is kept for one year
without your name or account. Votes other members cast for your photo are theirs: they name only your
account's random id, no longer count, and are deleted with that month's contest data, 40 to 90 days
after it ends.
- The hearts clean-up finishes within about 6 hours after the deletion.
- Notes of which Dating profiles you opened (so a view is counted only once a day):
while you use the app, it clears your older notes once a day when you open Discover. When you delete
your account, the older notes are deleted at once and the rest (today's) within about 6 hours, by our
server's clean-up.
- Blocks: people who blocked you keep their block. It names only your account's random
id, not your name.
- Cloaks: people who cloaked themselves from you keep their cloaks. A cloak from your
profile names only your account's random id, not your name. A cloak by email or first name keeps only
its scrambled code, so it still works if you sign up again with that email or name.
Hearts and refunds
Deleting your account deletes your hearts; it doesn't make them refundable. All sales are final. No
refunds, except where the law or Google Play's own refund policy requires it. If the law gives you a
refund, email happydead313@gmail.com
with the order number (it starts with GPA.), before or after deleting your account.
